Step by Step Size Guide
Finding the right size is one of the most important parts of choosing barefoot shoes for your child. Every child’s feet are unique, and sizing can vary slightly depending on the brand, model and materials used. That’s why we always recommend measuring your child’s feet carefully before placing an order.
On this page, you’ll find simple tools and guidance to help you measure correctly at home, understand growing room recommendations and choose the best fit with confidence. Each product page also includes its own dedicated size guide to help you compare measurements accurately. A well-fitted barefoot shoe should allow natural movement, toe freedom and everyday comfort without being too tight or too loose.
How to measure your feet?
Follow these 4 simple steps to measure your child’s feet correctly at home and find the perfect barefoot fit.
Step 1
Prepare the base
Place a sheet of paper on the floor, flush against the wall. Make sure it's aligned and wrinkle-free. The wall is your reference point.
Step 2
Position your foot correctly
Press your heel firmly against the wall and place your foot on the paper. Distribute your weight naturally, as if you were standing normally.
Step 3
Mark the exact spot
Holding a pencil vertically, draw a line right where your longest toe ends. That point defines the actual length of your foot.
Expert Tip: We recommend measuring both feet: sometimes they are a little different.
Step 4
Measure and adjust
Measure the distance from the edge of the paper that was against the wall to the line you marked. Add 0.8 - 1.2 cm to the result.
That number is your ideal reference length for choosing your size.
Expert Tip: Podiatrists recommend leaving a margin of 0.8–1.2 cm for free foot growth. Furthermore, wearing shoes will be much more comfortable.

Understanding the Comfort Range
01
Too Much Growing Room
If there’s more than 1.2 cm of space between the toes and the front of the shoe, the fit is likely too big. We’d recommend trying one size down for better comfort and stability.
02
Perfect Fit
A space of around 0.8–1.2 cm between the toes and the toe box is considered the ideal fit. This allows natural movement and healthy room for growth without affecting balance.
03
Nearly Time to Size Up
If the gap measures around 0.5–0.7 cm, the shoes are starting to become snug. They may still fit for now, but it’s a good idea to plan the next size very soon.
04
Too Small
Less than 0.5 cm of space usually means the shoes are already too small. Toes need freedom to move naturally, so it’s time for a larger size.
